25 years of SEO

In the short time that the internet has been around, a lot has been learned about SEO. The invention of search engines such as Yahoo or Google, gave us a unique way to connect with people all around the world.
But as more people set up shop online, it became all the more difficult to stand out above the noise – and that’s where SEO really took hold. It wasn’t as simple as creating a website and watching your web traffic pile in. Search engines started to come up with complex algorithms and made us really work hard to attract that much needed traffic.
We had to make sure that our sites were fully optimized to bring in the right kind of people, while adapting to yearly rules set by the search engines.
So what did life look like at the very early stages of a search engine? When did meta data, back links and keywords start to become so prominent in content creation? When did we start analyzing our data and rankings? And most importantly, what have we learned from Search Engine Optimization?
Take a look at the Infographic below to find out all the answers to those questions, and more!
